has anyone here ever wrapped there pipes? im going to do my vmax 540 but i dont know how much i will need..... also on ebay there is some that is rated for 1100 degrees and some that is rated for 1900... i cant remember what the average exhaust temp is supposed to be..... thanks guys

Many have wrapped their pipes to hold heat in and get pipe temps up quicker. I would use the higher rated stuff, because temps approach 1300 and more (too high and Mr. Squeaky usually shows up)

im looking at the 2 inch stuff and it comes in rolls of like 25' and 50'... does any body know how many feet it will take per pipe?.... i cant decide if 50' will be enough for both pipes or not....

If this is a trail sled, you may want to give this a little more thought - if you get moisture under the wrap and it sits for any amount of time, you could rot out your pipes pretty quick. Just a thought if you do any amount of drift busting or trail breaking.

Check with Aaen Performance, they have very some good heat wrap. As for corrosion underneath, coat them with a good quality high heat paint first, no bare metal! Then wrap, then when you use it, make sure you cook all the moisture out and just don't leave them sit wet! G.
