I'm considering getting into the whole vintage scene. I may be able to get up to Eagle River next weekend, 6 hour drive each way, or wait untill next month and go to the show in Jefferson, more like a 1 1/2 hour drive each way.
Any feedback on the two shows?
My intent would be to buy something in o.k to good shape, and restore it as time and money would allow.
Thanks,

2datrl,any show you go to will be a blast. But be forwarned Vintage sleds are a sickness for which there is no cure. Take some time and figuire out your top 3 sleds you'd like to own. Be patient, wait for the right sled at the right money. Take your time working on it and above all Have Fun!

vintage sleds
I wish it was that easy to pick the top 3 and only buy them. Like he said it is a disease. 3=6=12 There is usually no end. But it is fun yeah.

Eagle River is the place to be for the vintage scene and you should really enjoy it however the Jefferson show is always very good and has been getting better every year. This year they are adding drags to the show which should really make it great if the weather is good.
I am about 40 minutes from Jefferson and go every year. They have a great (outdoor) swap meet and many vintage sleds in the (indoor) show. There are MANY!!! people here in SW Wisconsin with some VERY!!! nice sleds and almost no place to race them in a vintage show so I think there turn out for the drags should be very good.
I wouldn't miss it.
PS, Pics are some of what was at the 07 Jefferson show
