why run 8 tooth drivers? the 1.75" lug will fit just fine with the stock 9 tooth drivers, I have installed them numerous times. You will need to remove front exchanger protectors and tunnel strips. There is no advantage going to a 8 tooth driver, it makes the track harder to turn and the gearing will be way,way lower, the speedo will also be very incorect as well. The only time i can see any benefit of 8 tooth drivers is if you just have to have studs.

If you're running in deep snow though the extra clearance between the drivers and the bulkhead will help evacuate snow better. Somewhat of a double edged sword. He's definitely going to want to regear with the 144" anyways. my .02

The 700 engine has more then enuff power to keep the tunnel cleaned out. We rode on purpose in 4-5 foot deep snow one afternoon and couldnt get it to clog up, round and round, tipped on side, stopped, started, couldnt get it to clog up, it was even wet type snow, no problems.
