i have the 2.25''x151'' finger track and its clipped every 3rd..i hate it because the rubber is wearing away where the clips are gone, my slides stick way more then a fully clipped track would and i cant use the anti-ratchet sprockets with my track...i going to find a old track with the same clips as mine and fully clip my track....im never getting a track thats clipped every 3rd ever again!..im not sure if there is any "pros" with a track that is clipped every 3rd..half a pound MAYBE?

You can't run a 2.25" track in anything but perfect conditions. I argue that even a fully clipped track will melt the slides in marginal conditions when the lug height is as high as 2.25".
I have a 1.25" predator clipped every third window (camo 981
and it works great. My old yokohama (original SRX) burned slides while this 9818 is OK in all the same snow. I think the closed windows tend to hold a little snow when you hit a stretch of frozen road, as an example.

Short version:
If you do lots of riding in deep powder, then clips every third window will do.
If you do lots of trail riding or marginal snow conditions, do clips on every window.

They only build tracks with clips on every 3rd window to cut down on the weight of the tracks, which really doesn't make a difference anyways when you're talking about paddle tracks. They're damn heavy to begin with. Buy a track that is fully clipped. It doesn't have to have full clips all the way, but clips nontheless. It will save you aggrivation in the long run. This is true with any track....being a paddle track or a speed track.
