Has anyone used a left hand throttle on the RX1? I have a RX1 mountain and think it would be nice to use the left hand at times. Any advise? Thanks in advance.

I have a left hand throttle on my SXr mountain and wouldn't be without it. I rode a modded RX1 Mnt and would definatley add the left hand throttle.

gild, what model and what company? I have the RX1 Mountain and thought it would be nice at times to have that left throttle.
Kenetic, makes a good one. I have one on my Viper, really helps on those left hand side hills. I think I paid about $120 for it.

I opted for a kenetic kit over lefty's because of cost difference. Things I didn't like about the kenetic setup was no anchor for outer cable on the right side and no inner cable seal. You are suppose to ty strap the cable on your handle bar. For the cable seal I went to a Mnt Bike shop and got the acordion style rubber sleeve to seal out the snow and water. Remember that if the left hand throttle cable sticks your TORS. doesn't work and you could be WOT. so install a tether kill switch!! Kenetic has a cast aluminum trigger handle for one finger use not plastic like Lefty's. If you see one you could probably build one from bike shop parts.

PICKED MINE UP AT HAYDAY'S FOR ABOUT $65. LOOKS LIKE YOU CAN GET EVERYTHING AT A BIKE SHOP TO MAKE IT, I CAN TAKE PICS OF MINE IF YOU WANT. I HAD TO MAKE A DOOOBERIE FOR THE END THAT ATTACHES TO THE ACTUAL THROTTLE TO KEEP IT FROM MOVING, BUT WORKS GREAT CAN'T WAIT TO TRY IT THIS YEAR.
