Hey
I noticed on my last ride of the year that the plugs on my 02 srx looked all white, even though the jetting was for 20 degrees (c) colder than the actual temperature of the day. (1,2 km WOT run) I have a hauck clutch kit on the sled which seems to work well. I have stock gearing and a 1,25 track.
The rubber pieces between the airbox and carbs have been checked and they are all good. The crank seal is good. Could this engine still be sucking in "false air", if so, where? Or, why are my plugs white at high outside temps?

White is definately lean.
With good carb boots and crank seals, I'd look at base gaskets, reed cages, and about everywhere possible to suck in air.
Easiest way to find an air leak is to spray WD-40 at the various gaskets etc with the motor running and listen for RPM changes.
Good luck

Did you ride in wfo or cruise in mid range, before checking plugs.
