I noticed i got alot of "play" with the top part of the spindle where the black cap is where the steering connects to... The bolt clamp seems tight but it rides up and down those grooves a good 1/4 inch. haven't had any problems with it, but don't know if anything will rattle loose. Is it normal?
No, not normal, replace it before you get hurt this coming year, get a used spindle and steering arm.
