What does everyone use in their chain cases? My Polaris buddy says 10w40 is what he uses. This is the first year I've had a sled in a long time, and I was just wondering what was best. BTW, It's a 98 Vmax 700sx.

Why ATF? Detergents? Just curious.

ATF has great detergents and retains its vescocity(sp) at cold temps.

I have a couple of 1998 600sx's and bought the service manual from yamaha last season and according to that the yamaha uses 75 or 80 weight gear oil. I use the amsoil chain case fluid and it works great.
