guys can some one that has done this tell me what all needs to be done.
I have a 600 triple for sale and have some people that might want it. they have 600 twin sleds and want to know what it takes to put a triple in their sled.
can you give me a rundown.my motor is complete with wiring,mounts,carbs.

cdi, wiring, mounts,carbs, pipe, air box.....let me think...might want to check Yamaha Parts Finder...

I did this over the summer, you need the cdi, wiring, airbox, carbs, and pipes. Depending on what year twin to what year tripple, the wiring from the nose to the guage pod may be different too. Motor mounts will work, but one of the rear ones needs to be moved. There's also some slight differences in coolant hoses, but these can usually be picked up at an auto parts store. The throttle cable is also different (I think this is true for all tripple carbs).
You will basically need everything that is under the hood except clutches to chaincase driveline, and oil tank.

the motor i am selling comes with cdi, all wiring, hoses, mounts,carbs, y pipe. Basically the only things i don't have are pipes and air box. Sounds like the only they need to do is move one motor mount, pick up an air box and pipes
will the twin fuel pump work or should they replace that also?
