Me and a buddy are planning a snowmobile trip to the U.P somewhere (one of his Relatives places) When is the best time to go? Is there a better month over any other? i know january is one of the colder months, but i have no clue if the winter months up there are bitterly cold thru the whole season.
I got a Gps, Figured its better used up there then around here since i know these trails, i'm assuming its fairly easy to get lost up there if your not paying attention?
Anyone else wanna guide us on this trip? lol i would seriously not mind that at all, better to have more then 2 people going anyways.
Getting these plans worked on now instead of when the snow is on the ground so we know what we want to do when there is snow.
Thanks!
Joe

I might be able to go depends on the days and month you guys are planning...I know a Guy from houghton in this website that can take us around there also.....I rode the UP trails for 3 years in a row and it was fun, not really easy to get lost since the trails are well marked...

I'll keep you posted, thanks! We don't know what month we want to go, we don't want to be stuck going on the coldest week of the season, anything like 0-to 20 degrees is prime.
Let me know what will work out for you and i'll see what i can work around schedule wise.

If you're going to be anywhere near Munising, you could hit a TY Ride. One in Jan and another in Feb. There is also one planned for the Houghton/Hancock area the week-end before Christmas.

no need to sign up. find out when the dates are and just meet at the location. look for and ask around about who is in or with TY and introduce yourself meet some of the people and hang out. if you want to ride with the group, that is cool and if not, that is fine also! it usually starts as abig group in the morning but come afternoon we get broken up. the best time to hang out with everyone is in the evening! good times there, bro'! look around for mr. sled and introduce yourself to him, he'll fill you in on whats going on! here are some pics. of the guy you'd be looking for! LMAO!!!! everyone is welcome on these rides! bring your buddies with too, even if they don't ride yammy's!
