My brother just put pipes on his 2002 viper, is there any reason the aftermarket silencer he had on it prior to the pipes wont fit my 98 700 MM? I am not sure what kind it is but I can get it for next to nothing if it will fit. I currently have the stock silencer bored, other than the weight savings would there be much difference in performance?

You are talking about two different exhaust systems...best thing to do is get on the makers website and compare part numbers, then you'll be sure.

You can also to the dril mod on your stock silencer for a little more pep, it's in the tech page under SXR's I think...
