I installed new carbides today and had the A-arms propped up with some wood to remove the ski. When I was done, after a while I notice an oil patch on the floor which I'm 90% sure came from the front right shock. Should I be able to bottom it out by pushing down on the front end?? I assume they are not rebuildable. What would cause it to leak??? :dunno:

You shouldn't be able to bottom the shocks out..no. Push it down some, yes, but not the full travel of the shock. They should be rebuildable Kayaba shocks on the front of the Viper. Pioneer Performance in NY does a great job.

are you working on the viper ? you mentioned a arms ? viper dont have a arms ...or u calling the trailing arm the a arm ...

Yes, trailing arms and I had to take the ski off to remove another plastic piecs in order for the carbide to come off. Seem a little early to get the shocks rebuilt at 2700kms?

yea that does seem premature.... but if you can bottom it out and there is a obvious sign of leakage, its time for a rebuild.
