Check out MPI for tunnel extensions, 2.25 will probably need different drivers and protectors removed from front exchanger for sure. Then basically use measurements from the 07 summit using the driveshaft as base point and tunnel to trasfer the dimensions over to the srx. Realise you probably will have to change some dimensions and Definately will need drop brackets i beleive too. Theres a couple guys with 151s, some in vipers so they should chime in soon.

I ran 20/40 gears in my viper with a 151 at 8-10,000' and it worked great. Obviously you will need to install 8 tooth drivers also. I had Tom hartman put a clutch kit together for me and it worked great. I don't remember what the actual kit consisted of but it had weights, springs and a helix. At a lower elevation you could probably run a 21top gear. Good luck with your project.

If you are running single pipe use 20 x 40 gearing, if triples try 21 x 40 to start with.
2003 Mtn Viper set up.
Here is what I'm running. I ride at 8,500 to 11,000 with this set up and get about 8-9 MPG. I'm a hair lean at 8,500 and a hair rich at 10,500. Carb heaters off.
PTO 145.0, CENTER 147.5, MAG 147.5, Pilots 45, Needles 2.0, Air screws 1 7/8.
Torsion spring silver, Torsion cam 43 degrees, 90 degree twist on secondary.
13.3 steel outer rivet, 13.3 Alum inner, 8DN 10 weights, Green-White-Green spring
I engage at 4,050 rpm and max out at 9,100 out of the hole and settles to 9,000 and
21 x 40 gearing with 8 tooth Extrovert drivers.. I'm jetted for 20 to 0 degrees air temp. If its colder out I my sled runs a little lean, warmer is richer of course. On deep powder hill climbs I can hold about 45 mph track speed. I know the MPG sounds low, butttt most my riding is off trail in fresh untracked powder.

i will be running a tempa flow which will take care of jetting, the sled is an srx so it is tripple piped from factory but i believe they make best power at 8200-8400 rpm, thanks for the input
Get some 8 tooth extroverts. 22/39 gears worked perfect for me out west. Youll be alot steeper ratio when you go to smaller drivers since 9 tooth is stock.

extro/2.25
You are going to have fun putting your drive shaft with extoverts and 2.25" track in the tunnel . Turk had one of those and he is the clutch guru .

you mean because it will be such a tight squeeze

tight
it's really tight, by the time you consider the extra 1/4" track height and the tooth height of the extroverts . If you could have the extros in the track windows where they should be you can't slide the driveshaft in the other side. It's both feet pushing and Mama pulling. Just about as bad as those extros you can run with your stock drivers

i finished my 01srx 151 project. we went to McBride B C last weekend it was great, it went as good as an 08 rev xp 154 800, snow was set up mostly maybe 8'' loose snow in some places, on climbing the skiis would lift about 2'' and stay up as long as i held the throttle, ill try to post pics soon
