Have been looking at online parts orders from differents places. They include PowersEdge, Babbitts, South Seattle, Yamaha Parts Depot, and more. Dollars add up when rebuilding a motor so am looking to save some bucks without getting taken for a ride. Opinions and experience.

I always use Port Yamaha anytime I need anything, fast turn around time and great customer service. If you find parts cheaper somewhere else theyll either match or beat the price of that competitor.

I've been buying from www.teamalpine.com. I've liked their prices and get things a day or two ahead of schedule.

TEAM Alpine, Its nice being close to them. Excellent on the prices, and usually very fast. Great guys over there.
It looks to me like www.yamahapartsdepot.com is the cheapest. Anyone dealt with them?

This is the first time I have ever heard of Team Alpine out of the northern Grand Rapids, MI area. In the past if I needed something big I would have called up Port Yamaha if I was able to or stop in a local yamaha dealer. The small stuff I get from Plymouth Motorsports since I drive by there all the time. I think Port has the advantage for us here in Michigan not to have to cough up the 6% sales tax. Since that is about the same amount as shipping usually comes to then they are a win-win. However if the prices are the same and if they use UPS ground then even standard shipping would be near next day delivery. Which is just about as good as saving the time it takes to drive to and from a quality local retailer like Plymouth Motorsports or Wheels USA both of which are about 25 miles in opposite directions for me.
Being that your in North Dakota though you are likely going to have the same shipping time no matter which of the 3 you choose.

I just checked all three places for a top end rebuild on a Vmax-4 800
Yamaha Parts Depot - $640.20
Team Alpine - $726.30
Port Yamaha - $822.26
All prices are without any shipping or taxes, my suggestion would be to compare before you buy.

Just ordered 600$ worth of parts for the SRX. Cheapest I found was Yamaha Parts Depot and Cycle Parts Warehouse. They have the same price, both ship USPS (for us Canadians). Went with the later since they actually answered the phone.
If only for our 8DN belts, www.ysppart.com (South Seattle) has them for 48.14$. Cheapest I found.

Yamaha Parts Depot is in Arkansas of all places and had to order what I needed, but its no big deal seeing the local dealers rarely have anything in stock and have to order it anyways. The parts in particular that were 50% less were reeds for my sled 6 bucks a piece as opposed to 12 something at any of the local places.I try to support the locals whenever I can, but thats quite a difference. Some other items were not that much of a discount, but still quite a bit less.I'm supposed to have my order in 7-10 days.
Keep me posted SWEDE on how your order turns out. We still have to figure out all the parts we need and what not. This is going to be over $500 for sure so we are trying to save money where we can. But, like I said let me know how it turns out. Thanks.
