I drove 2200 kilometres in pissing rain through two nights on the winding, unpredictable, heavily trafficed and challenging "E6" to get it.
My previous dream was taken from me, but perhaps this new relationship will prove to be loving, giving, trusting, wholesome and inclusive.

Here's the preliminary barn pics from my Olympus E-3 + Leica 25 mm. f/1.4:

nice sled man, i love EVERYTHING made by Yamaha!!! They are the best, so did you go like 3 years without a sled??? I clicked yout link about the Exciter engine and that was dated in 2005!?!?! Anyways man good luck with your sled, i just bought another Yammie to, the mountain lite, anyways first thing i'd do would get a 1-up seat and take off the venture seat, get a nice blue Viper seat, it should fit and looks great to, lol

Thank you for posting and right you are, sir. I've been out cold for three whole years, but the sweet kiss of the MM700 has finally woken me up from my deep sleep. I appreciate your suggestion and might act on it eventually, but I'll have to keep the two up seat around anyway, as I seldom hit the trails, plains and mountains by my lonesome. I often have friends and/or relatives with me, and boy, let me tell you, riding in pair sure gets cramped and uncomfortable on a single seater!

How much did you pay for it? What mods are you planning execpt maybe swapping the seat?
I think reedstopper notch/ reed spacers and a hauck headgasket are worth the cost.
It wakes the MM up some. I hope it's ok to say this Mathis, but I feel that my mm is slightly snappier than yours after the mods on mine.

Man, something about those pictures and my monitor make them look like toy model pics. They seem almost overly sharp. Just weird look for the brain to process. I'm sure its the high def on the camera or something. Nice ride at any rate!

I paid NOK 42.000, and it has just over 5000 kilometres on the odometer. I'm planning to ride stock until I can verify for my self if any improvements are needed at all.

The short depth of field from the f/1.4 lens might be responsible for the effect you're referring to.
