Looking at this online to buy, But i am a little confused.... Doesnt list the yearin the ad, but the blue tunnel would make me think 98, 99 srx. Then the headlight/ hood, looks to be 01 or newer srx., and the blue surround and gauge pod....... srx motor. they say th e VIN begins with 8DN What do you think??

8DN should be a '98
It may have had parts replaced. Ask for the engine number if you are worried.
The dual headlight really needs the higher wattage (300W) electric system.

Check the engine. If the heads are stamped 8dn-00 it is a 98-99.If the heads are stamped 8dn-10 it is a 00.
8dn-01935, Is the vin they gave me... Guy said he couldnt see numbers on the engine. Its a auction house, so I dont think they really care.

Sorry - Kinda off topic - Is that eXmark next to the sled in the acution too? I got a buddy with a Landscape business lookin for a used zero-steer. Wheres this place at?
I am pretty sure that sled is a 00. The plastics & the 01 part number sure points that way. Check the date of manufacter stamp on the tunnel

Thats a 2000, have the same thing
If the tunnel is stamped with that VIN, then the chassis began life as a '98. You may want to make sure that the VIN on the tunnel and any registration or bill of sale that it might have actually match.
I would guess that the sled was injured at some point and repaired with newer parts. It would be really good to know for sure what engine is in it.

i would say its a 00-01, but the blue tunnel throws that off, from under the hood it looks to be like a 98-99, and the seat looks like its a 2000-2001, but thats a direct bolt on, the newer seat style is, Like DING said, it could have been in an accident and got the newer dual headlight hood for it, if it fits, i seen on here an SRX with a Viper hood, but had to modify it a little bit to make it fit i think. Its hard to tell by looks, but you would have to look into it further to confirm the year, is there a manufacturing date? My 2001 Phazer was manufactured in 2000, but labeled as a 2001, but hey, EVERY sled is like that!

I have got (2) 1998's with 8DN vin numbers. Both of my belly pans are Black in color and I believe that they changed this in 1999 to the blue. Hope this helps.

If it was a 98 wouldnt the Power valve servo be mounted on the air box?

Yep, '98 was the only year to have the servo mounted on the airbox and thus had the short PV cables.
My gut says 2000 but check the manufacturing date on the tunnel as Turk said. If it was made in summer/fall of 99 it's a model year 2000.

I have a 2000 SRX and it looks an awful lot like that one. It has the blue belly pan with the dual headlight. The hood graphics look the same as well. Are those stock pipes without the heat shields? I haven't seen them like that if they are.

I have two in the garage that look just like it and they are 00's. Why is the airbox top off?

It's a 2000, blue plastic's, head light, hold downs for seat flap, servo motor, with a 98 tunnel on it. That would explain the 8DN vin number.
Ask them to look on the part of the engine that is nearest one of the exhaust pipes and the water rail for the engine number.
Thanks for all the info guys. Basically they tell me they have no history on the sled, All I get is bid as is. I suppose I could part it out, If I can get it for a decent price. The airbox missing kinda worries me and the pipe covers are gone, I'll have to wait and see....
