Have a dead battery on my 03 Viper, can I keep the battery hooked up to charge or should I disconnect it?

Can I use my 12volt charger to charge the battery? I was looking at the spec's and I noticed that some of electrical use's 14 volts. So if anyone could help me out on charging my battery that would be great.
A car 12v charger works . Yes, you can leave the battery connected to charge it.
