Viper CDI on 01 SRX

I was told you gain HP by putting Viper CDI on SRX. I asume its because of more timing? Will I gain anything by doing this? I already have a 3 degree advance with a timing key. If this is false where is the difference in the ignitions? Because i also heard Viper's have hotter ignition.

The timing curve is different. It also would opens the valves sooner.

Viper has some VERY hot timing in the midrange.
