Hello all, I just picked a 87 SRV and the guy I got in from said it was a great sled but hard on fuel. I remember way back when you could send the carb some place and for around $40 they would drill out some jet whole or something and get a perfomance increase as well as mileage. Does anyone know who might have done that? I think it was some where in MN.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I MIGHT still have the reciept for my 86, but if I remember correctly it was called Recreational Engineering, and it WAS in Minnesota. Mine was already done when I bought it. Bored carb and matched the manifold to the carb opening. Mine is piped with a DG single as well. Mileage still stinks compared to the newer sleds though LOL!. My FIRST Yamaha. I now own 8, and just sold #9 last month.
Thanks Dave, I called recreational engineering and remembered they used to do it and are going to dig out the old paper work and let me know if they can still do it for me!
