The carbs on my "new" bone stock 03viperER are on the bench for cleaning.
Any standard alterations from the stock settings/jets that anyone is using?
I don't usually second guess our friends at Yamaha but it doesn't hurt to ask.
(400-1800 ft elevation and 10% ethanol gas)

yamaha says to fatten main jets up 1 size if using ethenol and oxygenated fuels. leave all else alone.

Is it me, or is the stock size of 156.3 is not a standard size
Im seeing them in increments of 2.5 ???
is a higher # larger ?
(get a 157.5)?

higher # = more cc's of fuel per minute for the flow.
the weird ones like .3's or .8's, you need to get direct from yamaha.
