Hi !
I want to regear my kids sled Ovation.
But were can I find different gears for the Ovation ?
Any other Yammi sled that has gears that will fit the Ovation ?

whitch way are you trying to go? does it have reverse?
looks like you have 1.83 ratio. the et400tr has 2.21 ratio. the et400t was slightly deeper than the ovation with 1.92 gear ratio.
could always go to 7 tooth drivers to drop the speed/ratio as well.

The sled has NO reverse.
Stock gearing is 12/22 gearing ---> 1,83333
This sled has 136" track so the gearing is to high
So I'm looking for little lower gearing...
12/23 ---> 1,92
12/24 ---> 2,00
Where can I find chain sprockets that will fit ?
From any other Yamaha model ?
What is the OD dimension on the stock drive sprocket ?
How many teeth has the stock drive sprocket ?
What is the pitch on the stock drive sprocket ?

odds are it hasd 8 or 9 tooth drivers. you usually just count the teeth and not the diameter. the less teeth it has, the smaller it is. i would suggest dropping your driver size 1 tooth as that will gear the sled down the equivilent of 2 teeth in the chain case.
as an added bounus, it would also provide room for a taller lug track if you want to.

Thanx , but all the above I already knew of.
I want to know the size and so on the stock drive sprocket on the short tracked Ovation.

Over here in Europe the Ovation also was sold with 136" track.
On my doughter's Ovation 136" the drive sprocket has 7 Tooth and is ~5,5" ( 138 mm ) in Diameter.
Pitch : 2,52"

In order to calculate an appropriate gear ratio you have to know the diameter of the drive sprockets.
Does someone knew the diameter of the stock Ovation drive sprockets ?

ok from what i have researched in the parts finder, they make a 11 tooth top gear. this will be the same as dropping 2 teeth on the bottom. the yamaha part # you want (yamaha usa) is 802-17682-20-00.
dad had an 86 et340t and this would have been the solution for it but we left it stock untill some one stole it. i think that is why they went to the et400t/et410tr in the early 1990's.

In the standard Ovation parts listing there are several different upper and lower gears listed. If you use the 11 tooth that Maim listed, you will not have to add links or a different chain.Lasse said:Hi !

85T-47548-30-00 SPROCKET ( 23T )

But I do not want to buy a NEW sprocket at the dealer .
Thats why I'm asking if anyboody knows if sprockets from another Yamaha modell fits on the Ovation ??

looks like you might have no choice. if you know someone with a bravo long track, you could try his 10tooth top gear in yours but the part # are different and nothing else i found was the same style chaincase with the gearing you wanted.
could always pm ritchiritch (site sponsor) and see if he could get you the gear aftermarket. got me the one i needed for my sx500r.
