Hey all hope, for SNOW!!
Quick question for someone. Anybody ever have luck finding rear wheel bearings for a SXR. Have one that is shot on/in my inner left side 7" wheel, got the old one out. Just wondering if need to buy whole wheel or are bearings available? Also lost a "bumper" out of my "W" arm, will a dealer have them individual, or gotta buy a set? Thanks to all, al

The bearings should be replaceable, though the number escapes me right now.

I looked up the number for a 2000 SRX 700 but you posted for your SXR???

Item #2
DAMPER RAIL STOPPER
8DF-47456-30-00 2 required $6.69 ea

Wheel bearings--

Thanks Cheif- yes it is a 2000 SRX 700, not a SXR, haha. Been a long couple of weeks, with no end in sight. Found some numbers on what is left of bearing, left it out in my car though. Would like to try local belt/bearing supply, live on shore of CT and nothing local for yamaha dealers. Will pursue bump stops online. Thank you for your time, and enjoy the ride! al

Yamaha pulled a quick one on my 02 Viper. There was 5 of the wheels that you couldn't change the bearings on(or does someone know something I don't).3 of them were on the back axle.Had to replace the wheel and brg. assembly. The replacement wheels have replaceable brgs.

Rear bearings

Thanks to all- took bearing out of outer left, put it in inner left, then put skid back in. It will be a lot easier to just put a bearing in outer wheel now, and wheel back on outside. One nut and cotter pin, adjust track tension, and done. Local auto parts store will have one on tues for me for $12.00, not bad. Had time and place to do all work on this. Fork truck, and all welding fab matl's at hand. New renforced "W" arm, welded broken tab that goes to rail area, on lower shock mount as well as drilled out broken bolt that is thru rail also. Sand blasted and re-painted everything that was steel. Put in adjustable control rods, greased everything, now just need new bearing to finish job. Followed advice in tech section on tightening-up rear skid, a lot of play in "everything" is now gone or minimum. I was so happy to pull this out in 20 mins as earlier posted, BUT, going back in was not that easy, haha, Hope putting in new rail bumpers won't kill me while skid is back in sled. That was what i really wanted to get done this wknd, next wknd carbs and power valves come out! They will be a piece of cake, done them 3-4 times now, gets a bit easier each time. Also want to put in-line shut off on gas line, as i trailer it enough, and i see/hear excess gas can get into motor while on road. As before, Thanks to all, al
