What Fuel Do you Run in Viper

I run the highest octane fuel i can find in pump gas, by me its 93 octane..... I run it in my srx, which is basically a viper, motorwise, besides pipes.

I run reg in mine. I find it hard to get premium and if you do find it who knows how long it has been sitting in the storage tanks. Fresh reg is better than stale premium
imo

Manual calls for 89, but I run 91 from Petro Canada whenever I can. I have the "save 2 cents Peto card" :)
Most places where I fill up there's LOTS of snowmobile traffic, so the premium shouldn't be stale.
I swear it runs better with the good stuff.

Is it a waste to run 91? Or is 89 good enough?

I noticed a difference in throttle response on my Viper going from 93 to 87 (only thing the station had and i was on fumes)... i run the highest grade i can.

throttle response...did it get better or worse?

If an engine is designed to run on regular fuel then you are just wasting money putting a higher octane in it.In some cases it can actually be harder on fuel. The only reason to go to a higher octane wold be if you had pre-ignition and actually if you have pre-ignition then you have a problem that should be addressed.
