is there anyone here that uses dial a jet and been happy with it.? ive got some carbs that came with it and was wondering about using it. is it similar to nvariflow? is it reliable? give me whatever you can for info on it. Thanx
i put a set on a old phazer and could never dial it in!the instructions said you had to go down on the main jet to create a lean spot.i dropped 2 main sizes.the sled had a egt and would shute right up to 1300!i put the mains back where they should have been and it ran ok-1175.so i have a set for sale!the concept is good i think but for me i didnt want to experiment with pistons!

a buddy of mine had a set on his old '83 v-max back in the day. he said that it was always too rich for him. he could never get it lean enough.
my personal experiece with them, was on a buddies '86 yamaha radiant cycle. his bike is bored, k&n filter, and kerker exhaust. he has dial-a-jet on that thing, and it works great on his bike. on a colder 45deg day, his bike would stall if you give a quick stab on the throttle. you would need the choke out some to keep it running right. i knew it was lean, so i turned out the dial-a-jet screws a 1/4 at a time, until the stalling was gone. turned out that 1 full turn out was the ticket. i know this ain't a snowmobile, but it was a personal experience using the product you're asking about, so i thought i'd share.
seeing as my buddy and hanker37, didn't have good luck w/them on their sleds, i would say that maybe its better as a 4-stroke thing?
