Just got done pulling the powervalves outta the srx, we pulled it from the block directly, didn't take the 4 other allen bolts out that hold the cable in, just pulled the valve out, cable and all, if we pulled it out like that in one piece is there any adjusting that needs to take place? or can we put it back in and go? where is the powervalve cleaning video for adjustments etc, i cant find it.
Thanks
Joe

what 4 other allen bolts are you talking about? you have to take the 4 allen screws out, to get the valves out of the cylinder. you will still need to adjust them, upon reassembly. they get out of wack w/time and due to stretching of the cables, etc. valve cleaning/adjusting is in the tech pages.

Found the middle cable pulled through, must of been like that all last season, didn't really notice any lack of performance though???? can the Valve just get replaced? cable is good, i think the valve got stuck, there is alot of carbon build up on it.... can i just get a valve strait from yamaha? i don't mind paying the extra $$$ for a new one, b/c i heard they reinforced them.
I'm, going to be pulling mine out soon! I hope I don't have any pulled through. I would like to see the video if there is one still available!

i don't know where it went! it would help me alot.
98700, be carefull when pulling the valves out, they are in there good from carbon build up, pull too hard and you could pull them through, its common to hear the pulley unwind too.

never see a video about that here .... some people explain really good how to clean and reajust them but i never seen any video about it

I've had them out before, Last year. They weren't to bad using Yamalube. I've since switched to Amsoil.

you sure can get a new one from yamaha. they didn't reinforce them. same thing they've always been. i have a used set that's been repaired w/stainless bolt method, that i could sell you.
