depends on how you ride IMO. I'm a mountain guy, so its hard on hard off all day full load, and I want optimum shift out all the time. For me I change primary and secondary every year. full inspection of both drive and driven all year long, if somethin looks (dirty or sticky) or feels wrong, change em.
Remember your HP to the track all depends on your setup.
I am a believer in clutch to the max first.

Any thoughts on yamaha oem springs vs aftermarket. Whats evryone using and from whom are you purchasing them.

Springs really should be changed every year in order to keep the clutching efficient and consistent. Springs take a large initial set, and then gradually lose their force over time. You likely will never notice a difference because it happens so slow, but you will notice when u put a new one in. Don't let Tom Hartman hear that you have had that spring in their for three years without replacing it. lol

Change you spring every year or at 2000 miles and your sled will run the best.

If the springs wear our gradually, then I should notice a HUGE difference--having changed them on my 02 Viper for the 1st time this fall with 7,800 miles...

springs
I changed mine at 12,000 miles. They were getting worn where the coils come together.
