Had a cast on four four months. 2 years later had an operation to do a bone graft and another five months with a cast.
Best of luck.

Not that it matters that much but which wrist was it?
I broke a bone in my hand and had 2 different casts for 9 weeks one winter. It was on my right hand and there was no snowmobiling that year. What made it worse was I was off on Workers comp the entire time.
On the bright side winter is a better time for arm casts than the hot summer months. Also expect some arm weakness due to non use while you have the cast on. It's amazing the things your going to get use to doing with your other hand.

I'm nursing an injury right now as well. I managed to tear a 4-7mm long piece of tendant off the bone in my left shoulder. It's the superspinatus, which is responsible for all stabilization in that arm. I'll be out for a while....
Get well soon
My 10 year old son broke both forearms just above the wrist in a motocross race crash two weeks ago. It was his last race of the season. He came up about 2 feet short on a 45 foot double and the impact broke them. One was a fracture and is splinted for 3 weeks. The other was displaced and had to be set. 4 weeks with a cast and then who knows how long with a splint on that one.
If you're gonna play, sooner or later you're gonna pay!

Dont even get me started on injuries from dirtbikes. Broken ankles, wrists, sholder surgery, a few fake teeth (that was actually a three wheeler mishap) and god knows how many scrapes scratches stiches and scars. All in the name of adrenalin!!
Like Madmatt said "If you're gonna play, sooner or later you're gonna pay!" Amen to that! I believe what we do is called "learning the hard way"
Take care man, hope you have a speedy recovery!
