As much as I'd like to buy my son his own sled to go with me the coin just isn't there right now so I'm looking at picking up one of these 2 up seat add ons for when I take him with me on the sled and wondered about the bracket system for Yamaha sleds.I've found a few for sale but the brackets are for a Viper and I have an SRX but these chassis are supposed to be almost the same I think so will I be able to use the Viper mounts or will I have to buy SRX specific ones?I looked on the company's web site but couldn't tell if they are the same brackets or not.
I've got one on my srx. Used it all last year without any issues. Works great. Daughter was 8 and she seemed to like it. I don't see any reason why the viper brackets wouldn't work. Might have to drill different holes in the tunnel for them, but since the seats are essentially interchange-able it should slide right on.
They work great except there aren't any hand warmers. I switched to a Yamaha 2-up seat with warmers. You can find them very reasonable used. I still have the Seat Jack in a box out back. Guess I should sell it.
