has anyone did a custom tunnel extention??? and if so any pics??? i was thinking of getting some 1/8 inch allum and using my large break to bend one up??? any input???
i have done several. you can also get away with using .100 aluminum. you can go under the tunnel or over the tunnel. over is easier. the corners need to be welded where you bend the back for the snow flap. hardest part is fitting the coolant hoses for a clean look. a also do a custom bumper at the same time, using 1 1/2 or 2" x 3'16 or 1/4. aircraft rivets are the strongest for attaching the extention to existing tunnel. sorry, no pics for now.

Here's a pic of mine that I did for a 136" skid... i tipped it up 15* to keep the slimming look from the side but still have enough room for the srx rear heat exchanger... hope it helps

i found damaged apex tunnels for cheap and they are the same width as srx tunnel,i havent stretched mine yet,soon i hope

when i extend it would it be better to keep the heatexchanger where it is or move it all the way back????

i eliminated the heat exchanger on mine - just added a cross tube. The kit came from Hartman but it is just a piece of copper tubing with elbows soldered on each end
