I am thinking about running a shockwave helix for ice/lake running in a 2001 srx. no engine mods--just a speed track with steel picks , some gearing and jet changes. also thinking about running some adjustable weights in the primary. First try this yaer with an srx. any feedback?
For racing on flats use a regular helix. I played with the shockwave. Very small contact patch with secondary buttons & has about a realistic 12 degree pitch.

the shockwave i believe is all straight angles. why run a straight angle helix? multi-angle is much more advantegous. i checked them out at haydays this year and wasn't impressed. neat idea tho.
