I started to clean my carbs on a 99 700 sx I found the bowls to be completely full of injection oil. What gives? Do i have a vent problem? When I put away in spring I filled up the oil tank???

i would say gas evaporated but to have bowls full of oil dont sound right at all, pump stuck wide open maybe?

ramblnman nailed it,,,gas evaporated over the summer,,seen it allot....normal, when you get it running she'll clean out...

she was fine last year??????

I am leaning toward oil pump problems. there was way to much oil for evaporation. Once I cleaned and reinspected all items fine, does not seam to smoke more than normal though. The nice thing the carbs were spotless.

oil gets sent to the F/P for mixing with the gas then to the carbs,so there
is no way(that i've ever seen)oil could flow through the O/P,F/P then carb bowls....

I hope not, I am just saying the complete bowl assy on all three carbs was full to the max of injection oil. I even had a little in the air box not sure how much was in the crank case. I could see if the drain plug was covered but this was several ounces of oil. Last year the sled ran great 2,465 mile no issues. Once I got her started and blown out of any excess oil, changed the plugs and it runns perfect again. I am stumped.
