What would you guys estimate my quarter-mile time would be with a stock viper if a put a slick track on it, and a couple little adjustments to make it run as good as it does in the winter(jets, etc.)

I'm just looking for a rough estimate in good conditions and if I hook good and go straight down the track.
The Stock Viper that SuperTrax ran against a Dodge Viper posted a 12 something. It beat the Dodge but would have lost in another few hundred feet as the car continued to accelerate. You might want to find the article, I am guessing 2003 - 2005.
Yes Im with Ding, somewhere in the 12's sec.

I remember that article and I don't think they posted any times, just top speed in the traps. The sled was around 108 and the car around 117.
I would hope that a properly set-up Viper would get into the 11's.

For every tenth i shaved off my 60ft i got 2 tenths quicker in the big end.Lighten the sled up as much as you can.Spend a lot of time at test and tune nights.I spent a lot of time on different clutch set ups/gearing changes and suspension adjustments.

Here are parts from that article: "The sled leaves the line hard and at 60feet has three tenths of a second advantage". "At the one eighth mark the advantage grows to almost one second". "The car's speed is about 90mph while the sled at one eighth is moving about 95mph" and then all it talks about is the top end speed, sled 108.76 and the car 117. It doesn't say exactly the ET but it goes on to say if they used a Thundercat or RX-1, something with 150hp, ET's would be in the low 11's or high 10's. This article is in the December 04/ January 05, Volume 16, Number 3 of SUPERTRAX International magazine.

I run my 2004 viperS with aaen pipes on the tar. It runs 11 flat at 116mph. I would say you would be rigth around 12sec with no pipes. Like everyone was saying your 60 ft does it. I think i can get more out of mine with some suspension tuning. Next year i guess.
