Just wondering if the any of the Yamaha guys can tell me the best way to disable the factory tors systerm. I am hoping to run some vintage sled racing and need to install a regular tether switch. I know there is a way to bypass the tors but do you do it up in the handlebar/console area or down under the hood. Also where is the best spot to wire the new tether switch?
Thanks in advance!

To disable TORS just unplug the wires and plug them into each other.

There would really be no reason to disable the TORS. The tether switch can be added with the TORS still working and the TORS adds to the safety.

Thanks guys, I thought that was the way. It has been a long time since I've worked on anything with TORS.

I have a 91 exciter II and one of my carbs has wires coming out of it and the other carb's wires have been torn off. The sled is having idling issues. Could the missing wires be the problem?
The wires that are on the one carb are disconected but where does it plug into? cant find any connections
Any help appreciated
