Well my Viper has close to 6000 miles on it and the track is showing some wear. I have run the 9818 Predator on it since it was almost new and it has about 5000+ miles on it. Some of the lugs are a bit ground down or torn. I am going to go through the sled shortly(bearings, rings, etc.) and am considering a new track. I pretty much run groomed trails, not alot of off trail or anything. I am wondering if I should get another Predator, a Ripsaw or the newer Cobra. The latter is what I am really curious about and am looking for any input. The Predaor has been a very good track. The newer Yamaha's seem to hook up well with the Ripsaws on hardpack......but have never tried them in the loose stuff where I hear there are some issues. Any comments are welcome. Thanks!!

NO to the Ripsaw. I have not had a chance to run the Predator vs the Cobra, but the Cobra is great traction in hard pack or loose conditions! Not sure on longevity yet!

ripsaw is good on trails, not so good in powder though, not sure on the others. I have a used 1.25 ice ripper for grabs off my REV, if your intersted PM me. Its in great shape, two of the little "studs" are missing but the rubber isn't messed up in anyway.

I would either get another 6 pitch Predator or try the Cobra,I would never put a Ripjunk on anything.my .02 The Ripjunks are terrible off trail from my esperances with them,I hate how most of the new sleds come with them from the factory,I put the Predator 1.25 on my 06 Apex GT when I had it,and I am going to try the Cobra 1.352 on my 08 Apex LTX GT.

Thanks! Ironically about and hour after I posted this I received my new Snow Tech magz. Someone wrote in concerning tracks on a Viper and the Snow Tech guys did somewhat suggest the Cobra and said it also has better top end. That makes sense looking at the specs. The Predator is listed (121") at 36 lbs. while the Cobra is listed at 33 lbs. Less rotating mass by 3 lbs. I called tracksusa.com and they are asking $375 for the Predator and $389 for the Cobra with every other track clip and $425 for a fully clipped track.
