Well I have come to ask for opinions. I have a 96 vmax xt 600...the pogo style sled. I can't decide between a low windshield and the standard one. Right now I have the low one on there but it is painted to match the rest of the sled. I have the bars raised 2" so they are above the windshield and was thinking of putting handguards on but my girlfriend is telling me to get the regular height windshield instead. What's your opinion....stock windshield or stick with the low one? Thanks for the help!

the low ones look good but offer no wind protection....hand guards would help with the wind but would look terrible IMO

I was kind of thinking going the skinz route...that way I can only put them on when I have to.

I guess just make sure they clear the windy while the bars are turned.

I think I am going to get the bigger windshield. I'm going to order the clear one and paint it to match the stock blue color.

That's the one I had on my xt when I sold it. I really liked the looks of it. I had run with both of the taller ones, the one just bigger and then the tall one. The low in black looks the best. But that's to me. I didn't have wind issues but I didn't have a riser and I'm not crazy tall either.vmax4rules said:I am partial to this style.

I like both. I prefer the low black on the Vmax-4 and the standard clear one on the Vmax 500 and 600. The low black offers no wind protection at all and even though the standard doesn't really look much higher, the wind protection is pretty decent which makes a big difference if you're riding on a really cold day.
IMO though, I would leave it clear and not paint it to match the sled, just my .02.
