SRX 700 Track Install ?

I just installed my track and I ran into a little problem. The track I put on is a camoplast hacksaw 1" track. Some of the lugs are rubbing on the front heat exchanger protectors. Should I clip those lugs or just let them wear down on there own. Every other set of lugs is the full width of track, where the stock one wasn't.

I let mine wear down on it's own.

Take a good pair of side cutters and trim the little tabs in line with the heat exchangers like so:

You can see where i trimmed if you look close.

I thought there was room for a 1" lug on stock Yamaha's? I know my 1 1/4 lug hit, but I trimmed it down at the protectors like Roost'er.
