i got to looking and i have 2 different heads center one is 8dn and the mag and pto is 8df ....its a 98 center head from 2000 and up ?
I'm about 99% sure that a 8DF head is a 98-99 600cc srx head.

yep, 8df's are 600 srx heads, 8dn-00 are '98-'99 700 srx heads, and 8dn-10 are '00-'02 srx heads. i would be willing to be that somebody machined those 600 heads to the 700 specs.
how do i tell ? pull head ? i thoughtbit was a 600 ..but found out this one is a 700 also..i think the df head are ordional from the 600 ...the dn is a 700 head ? both are df or nd 00....

Yes as stated above, the 8DN is a 700cc head. The 8DF is a 600cc head. I'm pretty sure there was a difference in the chamber size. So either one must have been machined to either the 8DF specs, or the 8DN specs.

the 8df-00 (600 srx) where like 21cc or 22cc, i think. the '98-'99 srx heads (8dn-00) were like 26cc.
What's you compression? If it's high like 130-150 then you know the heads are machined to the 600cc chambers. I doubt it completely, they're probably machine to 700cc specs.
