I´m going to race our SRV in ovals this season. Just bought a DRE single pipe for it.
My brother will race the Vmax 540 on the ovals too.
Need jetting specs where to start. + other info about oval racing. Neebia on that type of racing.
help a buddy out!

I am putting a '80 SRV on the vintage sno cross events this winter. Last year was my 1st season with this '83 vmax on the ice. She was very competive in the 4 events.

Cool looking sled you have there!
You seem to have wide front with swaybar. Is that stock tunnel and skid?
I think our rules don´t allow (or the swedish rules, since we are racing in our neighboring country) that much modding.
What year SRV you´re taking out to snocross?

only modification to the chassis was to widen the front to 40 inches. Stock skid, with the front shock removed the the rear arms shortend. The factory sway bar had to be streached to work with the wide front end.
This vmax 540 races in our 600cc '92 and older sportsman class. Stock carbs and exhaust
I am going to run a '80 SRV. I would like to find a set of '83 or newer cyclinders and heads for it.

I like your rules. Just wonder why Cat and Poo are allowed to run newer motors? Is it to make things more equal on racing circuit? Damn..
I see that age limit is ´92 there. Does anyone run Vmax-4 in the bigger class? Or is there a bigger cc class?
We have found out that SRV runs much stronger with the air vents open in the belly pan. Atleast in the speedruns... Just a tip for you..
But in snoX I think one should keep them closed to avoid snow getting in to the engine / clutch.

600cc is the largest class where I race. They are trying a new 440cc class for the '07 and older factory sno cross sleds. Now that the sno cross stuff is bumping past 440 to 600cc, they think there will be some sleds that will leave and try some ice ovals
that should be interesting as well
