I want to replace the springs on my viper shocks. I had the shocks re-built and re-valved but since they have 6000-7000 miles on the springs I thought it might be a good idea to replace the springs. When looking at the fiche I was stunned at all the different springs for these shocks.

17 8CX-23760-00-00 SPRING ASSY 1 (K=17N/MM) AP 1 $57.55
17 8CX-23760-10-00 SPRING ASSY 1 (K=23N/MM) AP 1 $57.61
17 8CH-23760-40-00 SPRING ASSY 1 (K=11-19-21N/MM) AP 1 $55.54
17 8CH-23760-50-00 SPRING ASSY 1 (K=13-24-27N/MM) AP 1 $55.54
17 8CH-23760-60-00 SPRING ASSY 1 (K=15-23-30N/MM) AP 1 $57.74

What are the differences between each spring? Does "Assy" mean both springs? QTY 1? I think I might have an idea but I would like the opinion of a guru. I would like a stiffer spring then stock, if possible.
Thanks,
Luke

Yeah yamaha is so retarded about that.. They can mean several differnt things such as a stiffer spring or different colors, you will probbly have like 4 spring before you even get the one you want lol.. i been through that with a-arms and windshilds, rials shocks springs.....

I ran a new set of viper shocks last year for about 1000 miles and went to straight rate springs this year. If you are interested in them let me know. They are painted black and should be in perfect condition. I'll take a closer look if you are interested.
