While dryfitting my bottom end back together, I have run into a weird problem. With the 2 dowel pins in place my cases will not go back together. If I remove 1 of the pins, it will slide in place. Pins are straight holes are clean. Is it acceptable to put it back together with only 1 pin.

i personally wouldn't put the cases back together w/o the dowel pins in place. maybe in theory you could get away with 1 pin, because the 1/2 ring clip things (that orient crank bearing to case) would help align the case. this is not recommended tho, cause imo it would put extra stress on the crank bearings. are you sure that there are no burrs on the dowel pins? did you measure the dowel pins outside diameter, and the diameter of the dowel pin hole? i never had fitment issues like you are speaking of.
Something is not right...look at for a long time it will come to you...&...it will be obvious...goathead77 said:While dryfitting my bottom end back together, I have run into a weird problem.
