Good question. I have thought about this as well. How much grease should we use per fitting? Just enought to see the old stuff start to leak out?
Thanks!

Nah, give it too 'er til she globs out all over the floor, step in it, get it all over your hands, track it into the house and then wipe it on your wife's 'lookin at' towels.

Please be advised, you will likely be sleeping with your sled in the future.

What do you guys use for a grease gun? I've had nothing but bad luck with these.
Lincoln Model 1134's is all we use/own..smooth easy to refill(bulk or tube)great gun,last one you'll buy. ;)!

I use the air driven models. They are good for bumping the trigger and getting grease everywhere except where you want it.

I'll have to try the Lincoln model that Daman mentions.

thanks for the help!??

I just bough one last year and was wondering how it works inside. There is a rod that pushes a round rubber plate inside the grease tube. How does it go all the way in if the grease is in the way? Mine works fine I just don't understand how?

Sorry, just chase enough old grease out till it comes clean. If there is any junk in the old grease, keep pushing it out. I use disposable towels (lots of them) to wipe up the old stuff.

Make sure it comes out on both sides.
