Skidoo motor question

I know i know
sorry for posting skidoo questions but this is the only place i am a member.

my friend has a 2001 mxz 800. the bottom end is junk cases are broken.
he has a 2002 bottom end available for cheap money.
can he use his 2001 pistons - cylinders & head on the 2002 bottom end or will there be problems.
Any help is appreciated.

i have a buddy that swears by this guy ...and have herd other people that say he does great work and a fair price ..... http://www.seadooclinic.com/snow.htm might give him a try i know he keeps everything in stock he has a ton of jugs cranks and everything else ...i was there a few weeks back and he has alot of used stuff also ...

I suggest spending some time reading numerous posts about making this engine reliable over on dootalk.com. There are some really good guys over there. Some of the sponsors also offer parts that help address specific problems with this engine. Rather than repost what they have posted over there, I will just point you there.
