1999 Vmax Reverse chain case questions

I have a 1999 Vmax 500. The sled has reverse. The chain broke last season. My question- Is the reverse chain and the standard foward only chain the same.

i belive so you just have to find out if you have 13 or 15 wide chain and replace it with the same ..

I have 4 700 mm's and I believe it uses the same chain case.
I converted them all to reverse and they all take the same size of chain as long as the gear rations are close to the same.

I believe it is the same chain. I have converted several Vipers (I realize they are HYVO but that shouldn't matter) to have reverse and always used the same chain.
