well...been a long green summer...but it's getting cold!!! I want to convert my back-up to a work/haul/tow sled.
It's a 96 VMax XT, stock clutching and soon to be stock exhaust and jetting. Any Clutching recommendations? Top end no issue, just need to be able to haul a sled, logs, etc
Also, anyone know of a utility rack? I know they made a model with a rack/backrest combo?
600...sorry

you would think if you want to make it into a work sled you would want to gear it down to pull....right

Gearing down would be a good start, concentrate your weight load in the heel, stock primary should suffice, you may want to keep your engagement stock as well, ...I find the dayco belts softer and therefore better for pulling. The stock tracks on these machine are pretty shallow, ...you may want to consider a deeper lug as well. Lighten the preload on the centre show, more on the rear shock to putting more weight on the skis, ...the 96'XT6 has adjustable front shocks as well, you should soften these up to.

Non-stock exhaust
Pogo,
Does that mean you have a non-stock exhaust you'll be wanting to get rid of?
thanks.
