I had a stock 600SX with a hauck clutch kit in it. They gave me the wrong components (for a stock setup) and I was turning 9000 RPM when I should have been around 8300-8500. Also, how many miles are on the sled? Are your wearable components in your clutches worn causing binding???? have your clutches been cleaned lately? etc

If it did not do it last year i would think you have the wrong belt or a broken priamary spring or another clutch issue as mentioned.
i just bought the sled in the fall from a guy i worked with and he never said anything about clutching but then again i never asked either but its got about 8500km on it but wat do i check for in the clutches like to be onist i have no idea how they work and wat to look for i just really started reading up on the clutching stuff since i bought the sled and became a member of the fourm so if someone could give me a discription of wat to look for or throw so pic up for me it would be very helpfull (P.S sorry for any spelling mistakes)

change inner rivet in the weights to 4.5 grams.
i know its not the belt cause ive ran 4 diffrent belts and they all do it too to when you (Turk) say change the in rivit of the weights to 4.5 grams wat am i doing to i have to pull the clutch or can i do it still on the sled and how would i go about doing it
i just read the article clutching for power by yammyrider in the tech section and he said if the clutch shifts out to late it will over rev is this in the primary secondary or both?, also i have the secondary infront of me right now off the sled, laying flat the gold triangle with four wholes in it each numbered 6,9,0,3 6,9 are at the top and below it there is a 016b the number 6 whole has something broke off in it that sticks out maybe an 1/8 of an inch can you guys tell me wat this could be

Sounds like you broke a tine off your secondary spring. This would cause the helix to hang up & not upshift.....which would cause high rpm,s. check your secondary spring...it should look exactly the same at both ends.
ok ill tear it apart in the morning and see wats going on, and idealy wat should my rpms be a W.O.T, and if the secondary spring is broke wat would u recomend for a new spring, stock or is there something that would be better for me i ride pretty near all diffrent situations like we can hill climb, drag race play in powder and bang ditches all days and ride the trails to go for wings that night, if anyone would know wat kinda clutch setup i should run by the sounds of things on here you (turk) would be the person to ask so if you can throw me out a set up it would great and thanks for all the help guys and ansering noob quesgons
