I was wondering if any one has tried or heard of putting on parabolic arctic cat skis on their yammie. any info is great

AC parabolics

Just did it!

I have a 2000 SXr which I've converted to a powder machine / beast.
I purchases 2002 or 2003 parabolics.

You need to do the following:

1. buy the ac bolts

2. have the " bushing" in the spindles (which the ski bolt slides through) drilled out. The Yammi bolt is thinner, so bring the bolt and bushing/metal sleeve to a machine shop and have them drill it out.

3. Make a new shim to fit under the Yamaha rubber that fits below the spindle. I had a buddy make a mold of the gap from the stuff for dental molds.

And then your good to go. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet but it will definatelly be better than my stock tooth pic skis!

I ride with a bunch of Cat guy's, those ski's are a love/hate relationship. Most really hate'm and pull them off right away. A couple guy's do like them though.

Mountain SXR is correct though, they would be better than the narrow stock SXR ski in powder.

IMO, aftermarket Simmons or Powder Pro's would be a better choice. I have Simmon's and they are WAY better then the stock Viper ski off trail. Another option would be the new Yamaha 05 mountain ski. The price is reasonable, they look very similiar to Powder Pro's.
