It looks like the ice is good out on Rib Lake so we are shooting to have some fun on the lake this next Sat Nov 29 if anyone would like to join us.
If we get a ton of snow or a warm up we would most likely cancel. Please keep watching this post and I will update as the week goes by.

I know, I was at the cottage in Tomahawk for deer hunting last weekend, and I was amazed to see guys walking on the ice!
If you can walk on it, you can ride a sled, but I would say be very careful at bare minimum. I won't go on it for a few more weeks yet. I fell in an ice fisherman's chansaw hole a few years back when the ice was way more than thick enough. I caught myself with my arms, but it was VERY scary. Many other fishermen came over and helped me out very quickly.

I wish it was a week later .I would have a couple guys with me then even a 150+mph sled.
Ice is still good let run!!!
Well guys just came off the ice and the conditions are perfect.... it was more just a test and play day. The Build Super Charger is down for the count. 1st run, blew the intakes off the throttle body's and the block.... then fixed that, next run, ripped all the teeth of the belt that drives the cross shaft from the engine.... so she is out for tomorrows run.
XTX and 08 Nytro speedos are about 5 to 6 MPH off. Ran thru the gun with the XTX at about 105 with me on it and 108 with my son. 08 Nytro with me ran a 108 and my son ran 110.
Viper ran in the 111 to 113s, 600 twin with pipes ran 106 range.
Apexs ran 121s to 124 ish and a SRX ran around the 123 to 124 speed.
If I am not mistaken we are about 1/2 mile mark

I was in Northeastern MN (north of Hibbing) last weekend. Where I was at the Lake wasn't ready yet, I walked out a ways, ice cracked the whole time. Maybe, 2.5". But my brother was at my parents near Ely, He took his sled out for spin. He said there was 5" of good clear ice. But later in the week one of my cousins sunk his sled on the same lake. I will be riding on the 13th in Ely, even if it's just on the Lake.
It was a great time!!! To bad more people dont come out to have some fun.
Here are a few numbers we had for the day.
08 Nytros ran 105.6 to 107.7 mph
09 XTX ran 105.5 to 106.9 mph
Apexs ran 121.3 to 122 mph
Thanks to everyone that were there...
And it was great you made it out Terry it was a lot of fun!!!
