i have a 98 yamaha vmax 700 xtc and i put a set of polaris handlebars bc they are much nicer than stock yamaha bars and also lower, the quetsion is, i have a 3 inch riser and i want to put a pivot on wich raises about 1.25 inches. can i do this
depending on how much lower the polaris bars were, shouldnt be a problem. just be sure and check the cables lock to lock on the steering for binding. theoretically, if you had the 3" riser on the stock bars, and the new bars are lower, 1 1/4" pivot shouldnt be an issue. worst case, you will need longer throttle and oil pump cables and possibly a longer brake line. look into rerouting existing cables first.

thanks i havent rerouted them but i will and even if they are too long i could cut the riser to make it fit
