i got a 04 Viper mountain with DSC. here on the north coast of labrador we get real bad gas and my DSC light comes on every so often but i was wonderign if here is some way i can disable the DCS on my viper. can i just unplug it? let me know thanks!

I would not. Check my thread on modifying the knock sensor location.... I will have some more pics and info to load up hopefully later today. I just took the sled out for some testing with he new setup, and i can report back tonight.

If you have motor mods you might as well throw the DCS in the recycling bin. The DCS do not respond well to motor mods. I got your PM.

If you dont have any motor mods and you say you have bad gas up there, I would order a box of Octane 104+ Use 1/2 bottle per fill-up. Its the black bottle.

Try and get fuel from SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! BAD GAS is a BAD THING to put into your sled to begin with ESPECIALLY with MOTOR MODS!!! Thats like saying " I snowmobile thru TREES, STINKING DRUNK,WITHOUT A HELMET or snow suit on"!!! Huh????

Like Mighty stated, why it's doing it's job and protection your engine
from a burn down,if it's only doing it once and a wile don't worry about it
it's retarding timing some so you don't have detonation, try a different
gas station or higher octane or booster like tom said, don't mess with it...

we have ONE gas station here so we dont have a choice to run the bad gas unless we drove 300 km on snowmobile to the nearest town to get fresh good gas..... i dont think many people would do that. i know i wouldent!!.

You could always MOVE to CHICAGO... WE HAVE THOUSANDS of them!!!!! TWO REFINERIES TOO!!!!

yeah we only have one gas station here in a town on the coast of labrador! 1.29 for a litre of gas. you think were paying a high pice for it we should getting the best gas for that price! will using octane boost make it better on my motor if i mix it with the gas? i used octane boost a few times this winter but didnt try it most of the time. how much would i usually mix with my gas when i fill up my tank?
