I'm wanting to upgrade my a few things on my viper and i was wondering if reed spacers are worth the money and if so is there anything i have to do to install them.
This is not a worth while mod on a stock motor. It seems as though a set of V-Force reeds is the only benificial way to go. Even that only tends to yield slight improvements on modified engines.
Poor initial design is the reason why some engines respond to these types of mods. A perfect example is boost bottles. Be thankfull that Yamaha got all theses things right from the start, and spend your money on the clutches perhaps.

In my opinion no. They seem to be best suited for machines that have a problem to begin with. For example some Polaris models had issues with design of the carbouration system. They show gains in performance with these mods. On a properly designed machine there is no need for many of these band-aid items.
